Smartphones have already begun to change the relationship between customers and retailers. According to a recent Accenture study, 73% of mobile users would rather use their phone to find out information in a store, with only 15% preferring to interact with an employee. Clearly, setting up mobile phone apps for customers to use in store can improve customer relations.
 

How does it work?

  1. The customer opts-in to the program to allow the retailer to use their location to provide them with information. That’s all they have to do.
  2. The customer then uses the mobile app to perform simple tasks in the store, such as finding out if the store carries a specific piece of merchandise.
  3. The app determines the customer’s location and provides information about that specific store.
