Locaid’s IP Location provides extensive geographic information with only a user’s IP address (e.g. 172.16.254.1) as input to our simple API. Locaid provides location information about the connection, such as lat/long, state and zip code, in real-time. Locaid IP location works with all types of user connections, is non-invasive, does not involve cookies or require additional privacy disclosures.
Customers submit an API request with an IP address, or in combination with a user mobile device number. IP geolocation can provide valuable visitor intelligence data, and combined with mobile device location of a customer or visitor can provide a two factor authentication for compliance purposes. This is value of Locaid’s location platform: by combining location data from distinct and separate sources, Locaid is able to vastly improve the confidence factor of a location fix.
