Bring Them to
Shoppers have cell phones and they are using them to determine where to buy. According to Brand Anywhere and Luth Research, 51% of all consumers prefer to shop at retailers with mobile apps. This is in spite of the fact that only 4.8% of US retailers have mobile-specific web sites. Even fewer provide the location-specific information that shoppers have come to crave. It’s not a good time to come late to the party.
Locaid can help. Locaid can identify the location of subscribers’ devices on all major carrier mobile networks. It doesn’t matter if the device is indoors or outdoors, GPS-enabled or not, a smart phone running apps or a feature phone that isn’t. We can find it. We can tell you when your customers are near to a store and let you offer them coupons or deals for stopping by.
How does it work?
- Shoppers opt-in to receive messages, via a web site or via their phones. They can choose how many messages to receive (for example, 1 per day maximum). That’s it. They don’t have to download any special apps.
- The retailer sets up a geo-fence around stores that triggers an alert when a customer comes near. In urban areas geo-fences can be a small as a store within a mall; in rural areas they can be as large as a few miles.
- Alerts go out to the customer telling them more about the nearby store. Alerts could include coupons or a link with directions to the nearest store, product reviews, and even let them find out which store carries the item they’re interested in.
